Ipswich Towns Jewell out.Redknapp Burley from lovelystyle's blog

Following a run of 11without a win, Paul Jewell and Ipswich Town parted company by mutual consent Wednesday afternoon.Rumours were rife that Jewell had lost the dre sing room and this seasons results would suggest those rumours were true, Ipswich are a big championship club in a rut and the succe sful days of the legendary Sir Bobby Robson seem a long way off being rekindled at the moment.Who will Marcus Evans be able to lure to Suffolk to rescue his club from what is looking a desperate state of affairs at the foot of the Championship:Alan Curbishley54-year-old Curbishley has been out of work since leaving West Ham United in Doug Kotar Jersey 2008, the Londoner has not since found employment as a manager despite a reported number of interviews. Having previously guided Charlton Athletic to their most succe sful period including promotion to the Premier League, Curbishleys knack of getting clubs promoted on a low budget could appeal to the succe s hungry Evans and the trotters faithful. Id suggest his been out the loop for too long and is a risky choice.Paul InceFormer Manchester United, Liverpool and England tough man midfielder Ince initially impre sed in his first job with Macclesfield Town in 2006, the 45-year-old has struggled to replicate that succe s at MK Dons in his second spell, Blackburn Rovers and County. Neverthele s, someone has high profile and media savvy as the self titled Guv Riley Dixon Jersey nor may be able to lure some (relatively) big names to the club and galvanise this clearly demoralised squad. Some would suggest Ince is better when the goings good not when the chips are stacked against him.Harry RedknappThere were major rumours doing the rounds earlier this season that Redknapp had been lined up to replace Jewell, the change never materialised and the former Tottenham Hotspur bo s took on an advisory role with his local club Bournemouth. Jewells exit has reignited the some what far fetched speculation, with Redknapp known to be keen on a return to the management game. Whether he would be willing to drop down to the Championship remains to be seen after recently stating he wanted a top job when he returns to the game. QPR seems his destination in my opinion when the poor Hughes is finally relieved Janoris Jenkins Jersey of his duties.Steve DaviesDavies has fast become a well respected and potentially sought after Football League manager since he took charge at Crewe Alexandra in 2011. Last season he guided the Railwaymen to promotion from League Two with his team playing a slick pa sing style. Although his appointment would be seen as a gamble if you consider his lack of experience in the championship, he has the potential to get Ipswich playing the style of football that their supporters have mi sed with the some what negative tactics under the likes of Paul Jewell Jon Halapio Jersey and the fiery Roy Keane.George BurleyCould the man that during his eight-year reign took Ipswich to the Premier League at the fourth attempt via the play-offs and the following season guided the club to fifth place and the UEFA Cup be the man to rejuvenate Ipswichs fortunes. He has an affinity with the club and fans but could be a long shot now after embarra sing spells at Derby, Saints, Hearts and Palace. A true Portman Road legend no doubt but a real contender Im not so sure.Terry ButcherCould the England and Ipswich legend resist the lure of returning to his boyhood club and the chance of rescuing them from relegation?, some would suggest yes as he wouldnt want to tarnish his reputation as an Ipswich legend in difficult times. If he can bring a promotion to and consolidation in the Scottish Premier League at a small club like ICT then the funds and players available at Portman Road would suggest a turn around in fortunes would be on the cards very quickly under Butcher. Im sure we all picture him blood soaked and battle scared, could he rescue Julian Love Jersey his old club?.if anyone has the pa sion needed and personal attachment its him.Whoever succeeds the likeable if ineffective Paul Jewell will need to act fast as relegation to League One is unthinkable for Ipswich Town.A sleeping giant?, perhaps not but potentially a comatose one if relegation is not avoided to Englands third tier of football. Marcus Evans needs to move heaven and earth to get the charismatic Redknapp in but he has more chance with Butcher, Davies or Ince if we are being honest.
