Watford back-to-back victors Watford back-to-back victors from lovelystyle's blog

Watford secured their first back-to-back wins of 2009 with a 2-0 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.Mike Williamson scored his first goal in Watford colours before Tamas Eric Weddle Jersey Priskin converted to take his tally to ten for the season and three in as many games. The first-half was a cagey affair with little notable chances. Roy ODonovan stormed past an in-form Lloyd Doyley to whip the ball acro s; however nobody could convert for Blackpool, whilst the Hornets first meaningful attack ended with Priskin firing into the side of the net.The first save of the afternoon came when Scott Loach palmed away Gary Taylor-Fletchers drive on goal. Loach was forced to show his ability further John Sullivan Jersey still when DJ Campbell rifled when at goal from range. The two sides came out raring to go at the start of the second half and the play was a lot more creative.ODonovan had his sci sor kick scrambled away off Watfords goal line, before Tamas Priskin produced a shot of similar acrobatic style, only to see it saved by keeper Matt Gilks.Watfords fluent pa Ramik Wilson Jersey sing was beginning to have a big say in the game and it was a move involving Tommy Smith and Don Cowie which set Priskin through to win a corner. From here Jobi McAnuff delivered a ball of pin-point accuracy for Mike Williamson to head the ball into the net for his first ever Watford goal. The DeSean Jackson Jersey goal saw more dominance from the Golden Boys and after a series of corners the ball was in the net again, only for Smith to have his volley ruled out by the linesmans flag.Blackpool didnt seem to stand a chance until Graeme Owens came off the bench to cause Brandin Cooks Jersey havoc. A series of Owens cro ses were well defended by the Watford backline, however they did eventually get a chance. Taylor-Fletcher though, could only prod it over the bar.Another good spell of po se sion from Watford though, ended with Tamas Priskin converting in a one-on-one situation to end all hope Blackpool had of earning a share of the spoils.
