Leicester City 1-1 Peterborough UnitedLeicester Citys home form continued after a Mike Montgomery Jersey deserved draw against Peterborough United at the Walkers Stadium.The away side started well and straight away they caused the Leicester defence problems. Craig Mackail-Smith had the first shot on target after five minutes; however Chris Weale made the save.Peterborough was getting many shots at goal, as Leicester looked half asleep. In the space ofseven minutes Peterborough players, George Boyd, Lee Frecklington, Chris Whelpdale, Tom Williams and Toumani Diagouraga all had efforts on goal, however all five shots went wide.Leicester still looked asleep especially in midfield and defender Wayne Brown wasnt having the best of games. However Leicester did have two efforts on goal. Dany NGue san saw his shot go wide in the 20th minute, and Steve Howard saw his shot saved by Joe Lewis.Peterborough pre sed again as strikers Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith saw their respective shots mi s the target. However on thirty-one minutes Peterborough were awarded a harsh penalty. Wayne Brown was judged Albert Almora Jr Jersey to have brought down Aaron McLean and resulting in this George Boyd stepped up and placed the penalty in the back of the net. 1-0 Peterborough.After Peterboroughs goal the Foxes started to gear up after George Boyd penalty. Leicester top scorer Matty Fryatt had a shot which mi sed the right hand target. Also in the 35th minute Paul Gallagher found space on the edge of the area, however his shot harmle sly flew over the bar.Leicester had two very good chances in the closing stages of the first half; Paul Gallagher saw his shot tipped over the bar by impre sive Peterborough keeper Joe Lewis. Yet again in the 43rd minute Paul Gallagher tested Joe Lewis again however the Peterborough keeper was able Ernie Banks Jersey to hold onto the ball. That proved to be the last action of the first half as Peterborough went into the break with a 1-0 lead.The second half started as Leicester decided to make two substitutions, as Andy King entered the field in replace of winger Dany NGue san. The second substitution resulted in Wayne Brown being taken off and Leicester City favourite Alexsander Tunchev coming on.Leicester looked lively at the start off the first half, and in the early stages the Foxes were awarded a penalty. Paul Gallagher saw his shot bounce off the bar and into the path of Robbie Neilson, Neilson cro sed the ball as a Peterborough defender stuck his hands out as the referee pointed to the spot. Matty Fryatt stepped up and tucked away the penalty with ease. Leicester 1-1 Peterborough.After the goal both Leicester and Peterborough had reasonable chances. Firstly Matty Fryatt tested Peterborough keeper Joe Lewis. However for Peterborough Gabriel Zakuani Andre Dawson Jersey saw his header mi s the target. In the 59th minute Peterborough made their first substitution, as Paul Coutts came on for Chris Whelpdale.The game went quiet for around ten minutes as neither side created chances. In that sluggish spell Peterborough made their second substitution as Dean Keates replaced Lee Frecklington.Chances started to come for both side after seventy minutes. Firstly Leicester midfielder Richie Wellens hit a stunning shot from 35 yards; however Joe Lewis made the save. For the away side Craig Mackail-Smith effort went wide of the left hand post.Leicester decided to change things as Martyn Waghorn replaced goalscorer Matty Fryatt which was of course Leicesters last sub of the night. Leicester then had two good chances to take the lead with around ten minutes left on the clock. Firstly Steve Howard headed over a Robbie Neilson cro s and Bruno Berner saw his close range shot go wide.Peterborough had the last shot on goal in the match as Paul Coutts long range effort went horribly wide. The referee signalled the end of the match, as Leicester picked up another point against Jose Quintana Jersey the winle s Posh.Man Of The Match Bruno Berner was immense at left-back for Leicester. The defender tackled well and got forward brilliantly. Probably his best performance so far this season.
