Just curious (really!) and I don't want to start an argument, but what do you think about dating a man who gets alimony and has been bought out by his ex-wife?

I dated a man like that once and it ended badly because he was dependent on his ex and she was still running his life.
But now I'm an ex myself (though without control or contact), and I wonder what the dating pool would be like for my ex, assuming he's honest about his finances.
Again just curious because usually it's the other way around and that seems more acceptable, I guess?
